Design, Color Choices, and Camera Features of Vivo V40 and V40 Pro Confirmed Prior to India Launch

The Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro will come with up to three rear cameras featuring Zeiss optics.

The Vivo V40 series, including the Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro, has been teased by the company and is set to launch in India soon. Recent reports have suggested the imminent arrival of these smartphones, and now the company has revealed their design and color options. These new models will succeed the Vivo V30 and V30 Pro, which were launched in India in March. The company has also confirmed key features of the Pro version, including its camera and battery details.

Design and Color Options for Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro
The Vivo V40 and V40 Pro are teased to have similar designs, as showcased on an official microsite. The Pro variant features a triple rear camera setup, while the standard model is expected to have two rear cameras.

The standard model’s image shows a round camera module with two lenses and the Zeiss logo. The Pro version includes an additional third sensor and the Aura Light unit within an adjoining elliptical island, while the base model only includes the Aura Light unit.

The base Vivo V40 will be available in three colors: Ganges Blue, Lotus Purple, and Titanium Grey. The Pro model will be offered only in Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey. A banner on Flipkart has confirmed that these handsets will eventually be available on the e-commerce platform.

Expected Specifications for Vivo V40 Pro
As per the official microsite, the Vivo V40 Pro is hinted to sport a slim design and a “comprehensive cushioning” structure designed to protect the device from impacts from all angles. It will feature an IP68-rated build for dust and water resistance. Additionally, the phone is confirmed to have a 5,500mAh battery.

In terms of optics, the Vivo V40 Pro will be equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 main sensor that supports optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel Sony IMX816 telephoto lens with up to 2x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. The front camera will also feature a 50-megapixel sensor. The cameras are expected to include Zeiss optics.
