With Google’s upcoming Pixel event scheduled for August 13, anticipation is building as the company is expected to unveil several new products. The highlights of the event are anticipated to be the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and the new Pixel 9 Pro XL, along with a potential new Pixel 9 Pro Fold model. In addition, Google is expected to introduce the Pixel Watch 3, which, according to previous reports, will come in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm. A recent major leak has provided what appear to be official promo images of the Pixel Watch 3 series.
**Pixel Watch 3 Details**
Android Headlines has reported on these leaked promo images, revealing significant details about the new watches. The box contents seem largely unchanged from the Pixel Watch 2, with both the 41mm and 45mm variants expected to include a set of straps and an additional Active band. Also included is the magnetic (inductive) USB-C fast charging cable, featuring a Type-C connector on one end and a circular charger on the other.
The leaked images suggest that the Pixel Watch 3 will be available in two sizes, consistent with previous leaks. Both variants are likely to share the same core hardware, with the 45mm version featuring a larger display and battery. Both models are expected to have an ‘Actua’ display with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, a step up from the ‘Super Actua’ displays introduced with the Pixel 8 series. This new display technology promises twice the brightness and improved responsiveness compared to earlier models.
The 41mm variant is reported to offer 20% faster charging compared to its predecessor. Both models are expected to provide up to 24 hours of battery life with the always-on display enabled and up to 36 hours in Battery Saver mode, similar to the Pixel Watch 2. Previous reports suggest that the 45mm model may feature a 420mAh battery, while the 41mm model could have a 310mAh battery.
The leaked images indicate that the new display on the 45mm model will be 40% larger than that of the Pixel Watch 2 (41mm), while the 41mm variant will have a display that is 10% larger. Additionally, various strap options, including silicone, fabric, and leather, were also revealed.
**New Features**
The images also hint at new features for the Pixel Watch 3, such as controlling the Pixel Camera app on smartphones, viewing feeds from Nest Cam or Nest Doorbell, offline map access, and Wallet integration for payments. The new models are expected to support custom workouts and a new Morning Brief feature that provides a summary of health and fitness metrics.
In addition to the Pixel 9 smartphones and Pixel Watch 3 series, Google is also rumored to announce a new Google TV streaming box and a Nest Thermostat at the event.
