The Honor MagicPad 2 is set to debut in China on July 12, alongside other flagship devices like the Magic V3 and Magic Vs3. Before its official launch, pre-booking has started, revealing key specifications such as display size and storage options. This follows the global release of the Honor 200 series just a month prior.
The pre-booking for the Honor MagicPad 2 is now available in China. According to the official site, the tablet will feature a 12.3-inch display and offer four storage configurations: 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB, with Wi-Fi support included.
Although the pricing details are yet to be disclosed, pre-booking requires a deposit of CNY 100 (about Rs. 1,100). Customers who pre-book will receive a special gift box containing USB Type-C headphones and an additional year of screen replacement coverage. The MagicPad 2 will feature AI defocus technology with 4,320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, first introduced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2024 last month. According to Honor, this AI Defocus Eye Protection can reduce transient myopia by an average of 13 degrees after 25 minutes of use, and the same technology will be available in the Honor Magic V3 and V3s foldable smartphones.
Rumored specifications for the Honor MagicPad 2 include a 12.3-inch OLED display with 3K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, and it is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Teaser images suggest a single rear camera with an LED flash in a vertical module and potential color options of Moonlight, Starry Sky Black, and an unnamed white shade.
