The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series operates on a custom Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC specifically designed for Galaxy devices.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series was initially expected to debut at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, alongside the Galaxy Z series foldables. However, the launch event did not mention the next-generation tablets. Now, rumors suggest that the South Korean brand plans to release the Galaxy Tab S10 series in October. While we await official confirmation from Samsung, a new leak has surfaced, revealing details about the tablet’s hardware. The Galaxy Tab S10 series is anticipated to include two models: the Galaxy Tab S10+ and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Series Might Feature MediaTek Dimensity SoC
According to tipster Ice Universe on X, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chip, contrary to earlier rumors suggesting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset for the upcoming Galaxy tablets. The MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ is a high-end octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2.0GHz, three cores at up to 2.85GHz, and a prime core at 3.4GHz. This platform supports up to LPDDR5T-9600 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
If these claims are accurate, it would mark a significant shift for Samsung, which has been using Snapdragon chipsets in its high-end tablets for the past few years. All three models in last year’s Galaxy Tab S9 series run on a custom Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for Galaxy.
Similarly, the Galaxy Tab S8 models launched in 2022 came equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It’s important to approach these claims cautiously, as Samsung has yet to confirm any details regarding the rumored Galaxy Tab S10 series.
According to the latest rumors, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series is expected to be unveiled in October. This time, Samsung is likely to forgo the standard Galaxy Tab S10 model and concentrate on the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra models.
The Plus variant was previously spotted on Geekbench with the model number SM-X828U. The listing indicated a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, 12GB of RAM, and Android 14 on the device.
